The typical lateral file cabinet occupies nine square feet of
office space. A company in Atlanta with only ten file cabinets spends as much as
$2,250 a month just on office space to house them, not including the cost of the
file cabinets themselves or the cost of personnel to maintain them. In Los
Angeles, it could cost as much as $2,340 to house ten file cabinets. In Boston,
$4,050 a month; and in Midtown Manhattan, ten file cabinets could cost a company
as much as $5,850 a month on office space alone.

I became a certified feng shui practitioner in 2002, studying
under Feng Shui Master, Nancilee Wydra founder of the Feng Shui Institute of
America and creator of Pyramid Feng Shui School.
What is Feng Shui?
Ancient Feng Shui is described as "the Chinese art
of placement". Literally translated Feng Shui means Wind Water and
the story goes that back in the beginning (about 2,500 to 6,000
years ago) the farmers, before settling, would determine how the
winds blew, the direction and what if any protection might be in the
area and where water and/or sources of water were located. Once
satisfied with the correct balance of wind, protection, water and
other resources needed to survive they would settle down. As you can
see placement was very important and still is, just not as "strict"
for us as it was then. Why? Because things - people and place -
change and evolve.
In Pyramid Feng Shui, what I practice and am certified in, we
first approach the person's desires or "wishes" for their life and
then create the support they need to obtain those wishes through
recommendations of the use of:

- Movement
- Placement
- Scent
Pyramid Feng Shui is a contemporary western adaptation of
ancient Chinese Feng Shui, integrating biology, psychology, cultural
anthropology, physics and other environmental considerations to assess how an
individual experiences their environment. Recommendations are substantiated
using information from these social and scientific fields. Pyramid Feng Shui
also places the individual at the center of the process by using a customized
approach that takes into account the culture, beliefs, and design preferences of
the client, which is a contemporary western school.
