Season's Change and So Do We
By: Janet L. Hall
Last night the weather started to change; a new season is about
to unfold, again, and this morning I awoke with the song "Turn!
Turn! Turn! (to Everything There Is a Season)" playing in my
mind.
I believe it was in the late 60's the band The Byrds recorded
this song, which if you didn't know, most of the lyrics of this song
came from a religious source, the Holy Bible; Ecclesiastes 3 or
the Jewish Bible, called the Tanakh; Keholet 3. The song starts
out like this:
"To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven"
And the song goes on to talk about 'A time for this and a time for
that.' (You can read all the lyrics here:

Paraphrasing some of the lyrics of Turn! Turn! Turn! what do
you need to cast away or gather to you? What do you need to
build or breakdown? What do you need to embrace or let go
of? What would you like to be at peace with?
What's it time for you to do in this season's change?

There is a time for everything, as the season's show us. A rhythm
of doing and not doing, the Yin and Yang of life. The season's
and the universe have order, approaches and systems in place
for everything; The Laws of the Universe, such as The Laws of
Nature, and we also have physical law and scientific law. These
laws are described as having scientific generalizations based on
empirical observations of physical behavior.
We also have visible and invisible energy fields swirling around
and through everything seen and not seen. Energy, which is
governed by Universal Laws and principles - Divine Laws (of
which there are 12 with 21 sub-laws) - such as, just to name a
few, The Law of Karma, also known as the Law of Cause and
Effect, The Law of Abundance or Attraction, also known as
manifesting, The Law of Empowerment, choosing where your
thoughts and attention go, and The Law of Rhythm, with
everything around us vibrating and moving to certain rhythms.
Rhythms establish seasons, cycles, stages of development, and
patterns - Ah Ha - this is what I want you to understand and
become aware of in your life.
What is your rhythm? How are you vibrating; i.e. what kind of
signals/messages are you sending to yourself and the world
around you (like attracts like)? The items you've placed in your
environment; what are they "saying"? What season, cycle, or
stage of development are you in? What patterns or habits do you
observe in yourself that you would like to let go of?
"To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven"
